>We now cater for cyclists and potential cyclists with special needs.

As well as taking out (on the back or tandems) blind cyclists and cyclists with visual difficulties we intend to make cycling available to EVERYONE who wishes to join us. Members or their carers with neurological or physical problems should contact us so that we can discuss how they can best be served. It may be that a hand driven bike or a bike adapted to take a wheelchair will be required, but whatever it takes, we will endeavor to provide it.

The pictures below show some of the equipment we have:

Here is a hand driven bike:

We can take out blind or partially sighted children on the back of a tandem. This one was bought recently with a donation from The Francis C Scott Charitable Trust.

Wheelchair bikes

We can now take children with severe disabilities with us on special wheelchair bikes. When we get to a cafe stop the wheelchair can be duscinnected from the bike and wheeled in like a conventional wheelchair
